Emergency Order #26 Information
The FRA has enacted Emergency Order #26 concerning the use of personal electronic devices while on-duty. As a result, CSXT has issued two new rules, GS-28 and GS-29 to comply with EO-26. Violators of EO-26 and these rules can be personally fined $27,000.00 and be banned from working in any safety sensitive job in the United States. (i.e. No more Railroad, no CDL for truck driving, etc....) So Please, DO NOT TEST THE WATERS by violating EO-26 or CSX Rules GS-28 and/or GS-29. The CSXT Rules are more restrictive than the EO-26 so know and follow these rules!!!! When in doubt, Have your cell phone turned off and stored in your grip!!
