Nominations For Local Chairman LCA-Road

Dan Young has vacated his position as Local Chairman LCA-Road effective January 31, 2010.

As a result, Vice Local Chairman Ronald Hummel has assumed the duties of Local Chairman until an election is held to replace Dan Young.

Anyone interested in running for this position should submit their nomination at this months union meeting to be held on February 15th.

The term will only be for the remainder of the year. Regular elections will be held at the end of 2010 to fill the position for the next 4-year term (2011-2014). So, if you are the least bit interested, this could be your chance to get a taste of what being a local chairman is all about. If by the end of the year you decide it's not for you, then you are only obligated until Dec. 31st. On the other hand, if you decide you enjoy the challenge, you may submit your nomination and run for the next four years!
